Renata AG, a leading micro-battery producer and part of the Swatch Group, was established in 1952 in Itingen, Switzerland. Originally focusing on mechanical watch components, Renata transitioned to button-cell production in the 1970s. Today, they excel in manufacturing silver-oxide, zinc-air, lithium primary coin cells, and rechargeable lithium-polymer batteries for watches, hearing aids, IoT devices, and medical uses. Their manufacturing facility produces more than one million batteries daily, positioning Renata as one of the top three global leaders in coin-cell production.
